Miles Terms of Service and End User License Agreement
Effective Date: September 11, 2026
These Terms of Service and End User License Agreement (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you and SnappingTurtlesDev D.B.A. Miles (“Miles,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) regarding your use of the Miles mobile application, website, and related services collectively referred to as the “Service.”
Please read these Terms carefully. By downloading, accessing, creating an account for, purchasing a subscription through, or otherwise using Miles, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not access or use Miles.
1. About Miles#
Miles is a productivity and recordkeeping application designed to help gig workers and other users record and review information such as:
- Work-related trips
- Mileage or kilometers
- Earnings and trip-pay information
- Gig or delivery platforms
- Dollars-per-mile calculations
- Trip dates and history
- Mileage and earnings preferences
- Related reports, summaries, and exports
Miles is provided as a recordkeeping and productivity tool. It does not guarantee that information entered into or calculated by the app will satisfy any particular tax, accounting, reimbursement, employment, regulatory, or legal requirement.
2. Eligibility#
You must be at least 13 years old to use Miles.
If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you may use Miles only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. By using Miles, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
You may not use Miles if you are prohibited from receiving or using the Service under applicable law.
3. Account Registration#
Some Miles features require you to create an account.
When creating and maintaining an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and current information
- Maintain only accounts you are authorized to use
- Keep your password and login credentials confidential
- Promptly update information that becomes inaccurate
- Notify us if you suspect unauthorized account access
- Accept responsibility for activity performed through your account
You may not share your account in a way that compromises its security or allows another person to impersonate you.
We may suspend or restrict access to accounts that contain inaccurate information, are used fraudulently, or violate these Terms.
4. Email and Password Authentication#
Miles may use email-and-password authentication provided through Google Firebase.
You are responsible for protecting your password and device. We are not responsible for losses resulting from unauthorized account access caused by your failure to protect your login information.
You must contact us promptly at snapping.turtlesdev@gmail.com if you believe your Miles account has been compromised.
5. User-Entered Information#
Miles allows you to enter, store, edit, calculate, export, and delete information related to your trips and work activities.
You retain ownership of the information you enter into Miles.
You grant us a limited, nonexclusive, worldwide license to host, process, reproduce, transmit, and display that information solely as reasonably necessary to:
- Operate Miles
- Store and synchronize your records
- Generate calculations, summaries, and reports
- Provide customer support
- Maintain security and prevent fraud
- Comply with applicable law
This license ends when your information is deleted from our active systems, except where retention is reasonably required for backups, security, legal compliance, or dispute resolution.
6. Automatic Drive Tracking#
Auto Tracking is an optional feature and is off until you turn it on. It requires permission to access your location in the background, and you can withdraw that permission at any time in your device settings or by switching Auto Tracking off in the app.
Accuracy. Miles measures your drives using your device’s GPS and Android’s activity recognition. Both are best-effort signals provided by your device and its operating system. Drives may be missed, cut short, merged, or recorded with distances that differ from the true distance driven — for example in tunnels, car parks, dense urban areas, or when your device restricts the app in the background.
You are responsible for your records. Mileage recorded by Miles is an aid to record-keeping, not a substitute for your own. You are responsible for reviewing your mileage log for accuracy and completeness before relying on it, and for classifying each drive as work or personal. Miles does not provide tax, legal, or accounting advice, and the estimated deduction shown in the app is an arithmetic estimate based on a per-mile rate you enter — not a determination of what you are entitled to claim.
Battery and data. Recording a drive uses GPS continuously and will consume battery. Automatic tracking depends on your device permitting the app to run in the background; battery-optimization settings on some devices can stop drives being recorded.
7. Accuracy of Records and Calculations#
You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all information entered into Miles.
Miles may calculate totals, averages, dollars per mile, mileage conversions, earnings, date ranges, and other values based on the information you provide. These calculations are provided for general informational and organizational purposes.
You acknowledge that:
- Miles may contain errors, interruptions, or calculation inaccuracies
- Device settings, rounding, unit conversions, and incorrect user entries may affect results
- You should independently verify important records and calculations
- Miles is not an official odometer, payroll record, tax document, accounting ledger, or employment record
- You are responsible for maintaining any supporting documentation required by an employer, government agency, tax authority, or other organization
You should not rely exclusively on Miles as your only copy of important financial, mileage, or business records.
8. No Tax, Accounting, Financial, or Legal Advice#
Miles does not provide tax, accounting, financial, employment, investment, or legal advice.
Information, calculations, summaries, and exports provided through Miles are general productivity tools and should not be treated as professional advice or a determination of:
- Tax deductions
- Business expenses
- Reimbursement eligibility
- Employment status
- Tax liability
- Legal compliance
- Income reporting requirements
- Recordkeeping sufficiency
Tax and mileage rules may vary by location and may change over time. You are responsible for consulting an appropriate tax professional, accountant, attorney, employer, or government authority regarding your circumstances.
9. License to Use Miles#
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable, and nonsublicensable license to install and use Miles on devices that you own or control for personal or internal business recordkeeping purposes.
This license does not transfer ownership of Miles or any of its intellectual property to you.
You may not:
- Copy, sell, sublicense, rent, lease, or distribute Miles
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract its source code, except where applicable law expressly permits it
- Modify or create derivative works from Miles
- Circumvent subscription, authentication, or security controls
- Access Miles through unauthorized automated methods
- Remove copyright, trademark, or ownership notices
- Use Miles to build or train a competing product without written permission
- Use the Service in a way that damages, overloads, or interferes with its operation
10. Acceptable Use#
You agree not to use Miles to:
- Violate any law or regulation
- Submit false, fraudulent, or misleading information
- Access another person’s account without permission
- Distribute malware, harmful code, or unauthorized automated requests
- Probe or test the vulnerability of the Service without authorization
- Bypass technical restrictions or security features
- Harass, threaten, impersonate, or harm another person
- Infringe intellectual-property, privacy, or other legal rights
- Conduct fraudulent purchases or subscription activity
- Interfere with Firebase, RevenueCat, Apple, Google, or another service provider
- Use Miles for an unlawful or unauthorized commercial purpose
We may investigate suspected violations and cooperate with lawful investigations where required.
11. Free and Premium Features#
Miles may offer both free and paid features.
The features included in each plan may be described within the app or on the applicable purchase screen. We may add, remove, improve, or modify features, provided that any changes are made in accordance with applicable law and app-store requirements.
Certain features may require an active subscription.
Miles offers a single Full Access subscription, which includes trip logging and automatic drive tracking. It is billed through your Google Play or App Store account and renews automatically until cancelled. Manage or cancel it in your store account — cancelling in the app alone does not stop billing.
If your subscription ends, automatic tracking stops. A drive already being recorded is completed and saved first. Drives already recorded are retained and remain exportable.
12. Auto-Renewable Subscriptions#
Miles may offer auto-renewable subscriptions through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
By purchasing a subscription, you authorize the applicable app store to charge the payment method connected to your store account at the displayed price and billing frequency.
Unless canceled before renewal:
- Your subscription will automatically renew
- Your app-store account will be charged for the next subscription period
- Renewal will occur according to the terms presented when you purchase
- Premium access will continue while the subscription remains active and successfully billed
Subscription prices, billing periods, available plans, and trial terms will be displayed before you confirm a purchase.
Taxes may be added where required.
13. Subscription Management and Cancellation#
Subscriptions must generally be managed through the store where they were purchased.
For an Apple App Store subscription, you can manage or cancel it through your Apple account subscription settings.
For a Google Play subscription, you can manage or cancel it through your Google Play subscription settings.
Deleting Miles or deleting your Miles account does not automatically cancel an active subscription.
To avoid future renewal charges, you must cancel your subscription through the applicable app store before the renewal deadline shown by that store.
After cancellation, you may retain access to premium features through the end of the period for which you have already paid, unless the app store states otherwise.
14. Free Trials and Promotional Offers#
Miles may occasionally offer free trials, introductory pricing, discounts, or promotional access.
Eligibility, duration, pricing, and renewal terms will be displayed when the offer is presented.
Unless the offer states otherwise:
- A trial may automatically convert into a paid subscription
- You must cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged
- Eligibility may be limited to new or qualifying subscribers
- Promotional offers may not be combined
- Trials and promotions may be modified or withdrawn where permitted by law
The applicable app store controls the final determination of trial eligibility and billing.
Referral codes and the affiliate program
Miles works with independent creators ("affiliates") who share a referral code with their audience. Entering a valid referral code changes the free-trial offer shown when you start a subscription (for example, a longer trial), as displayed at that time; it does not by itself grant premium access. One referral code may be applied per account, it cannot be changed once applied, and it is intended for accounts that have not previously held a paid subscription.
When you apply an affiliate's code, that affiliate may receive a commission from Miles for as long as your subscription remains active. Affiliates are not given your name, email address, or any other personal information — only anonymous counts and subscription status for the accounts that used their code. Applying a code does not change your subscription price.
Affiliate participation is governed by a separate agreement between Miles and the affiliate. Miles may modify or end the affiliate program, or any referral offer, on reasonable notice where permitted by law.
15. Payments#
Subscription payments are processed by Apple or Google, not directly by Miles.
We do not directly collect or store your complete payment-card or bank-account information.
RevenueCat may be used to validate purchases, identify subscription status, restore purchases, and determine access to premium features.
Your purchase may also be subject to the payment and subscription terms of Apple, Google, and RevenueCat.
16. Refunds#
Refund requests are governed by the policies of the app store through which you made the purchase, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Purchasing a subscription does not guarantee that a refund will be approved.
To request a refund, follow the refund process provided by Apple or Google. Contacting Miles does not guarantee that we can issue or approve a refund processed by an app store.
Nothing in these Terms limits any nonwaivable refund or consumer right provided by applicable law.
17. Restoring Purchases#
Miles may provide a restore-purchases feature.
To restore a purchase, you may need to use the same Apple or Google account through which the subscription was originally purchased.
Restoration may be unavailable when:
- The original purchase has expired or been refunded
- You are signed into a different store account
- The app store or RevenueCat cannot validate the transaction
- Network or store services are temporarily unavailable
- The subscription is not transferable between platforms
Contact snapping.turtlesdev@gmail.com if you believe an active purchase is not being recognized.
18. Account Deletion#
You may request deletion of your Miles account through the account-deletion option in the app’s Settings page or by contacting:
We may require reasonable verification before deleting an account.
Deleting your account may permanently remove access to:
- Stored trip records
- Earnings and mileage information
- Preferences and settings
- Reports and summaries
- Other account-associated information
Account deletion may not be reversible.
Some information may be retained where reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, security, transaction records, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or backup-system operation.
Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. You must separately cancel your subscription through the applicable store.
19. Data Backup and Export#
Miles may offer options for viewing, printing, or exporting records. However, we do not guarantee that cloud storage, synchronization, backup, export, or restoration will always be available or error-free.
You are responsible for:
- Reviewing your records regularly
- Exporting or backing up important information
- Maintaining independent copies of records required for tax, employment, reimbursement, or legal purposes
- Verifying exports before relying on them
We are not responsible for the loss of information caused by device failure, account deletion, incorrect credentials, user error, service outages, third-party failures, or events beyond our reasonable control.
20. Third-Party Services#
Miles depends on third-party platforms and providers, which may include:
- Google Firebase
- Firebase Authentication
- Cloud Firestore
- RevenueCat
- Apple App Store
- Google Play Store
- Device operating-system providers
Your use of those services may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies.
We do not control and are not responsible for the availability, security, policies, accuracy, or performance of third-party services.
A third-party outage, policy change, account restriction, or service discontinuation may affect some or all Miles features.
21. Intellectual Property#
Miles, including its software, source code, visual design, logos, trademarks, text, graphics, features, organization, and original content, is owned by or licensed to Miles and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Except for the limited license expressly granted in these Terms, no right, title, or interest in Miles is transferred to you.
“Miles” and related names, logos, and designs may not be used without our prior written permission.
22. Feedback#
You may voluntarily submit ideas, suggestions, comments, or other feedback about Miles.
By submitting feedback, you grant us a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable right to use, reproduce, modify, publish, distribute, and incorporate that feedback without restriction or compensation to you.
Do not submit confidential information through feedback.
23. Updates and Changes to Miles#
We may release updates, corrections, improvements, or new versions of Miles.
Some updates may be required to continue using the Service. We do not guarantee continued support for every device, operating system, app version, or feature.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue part or all of Miles when reasonably necessary. Where required by law, we will provide appropriate notice.
24. Service Availability#
Miles is provided through internet-connected systems and third-party services. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, timely, or available in every location.
Miles may be unavailable because of:
- Maintenance
- Software errors
- Network interruptions
- App-store outages
- Firebase or RevenueCat outages
- Device incompatibility
- Security incidents
- Legal or regulatory requirements
- Events outside our reasonable control
We may temporarily restrict access when reasonably necessary to maintain security or protect the Service.
25. Suspension and Termination#
We may suspend or terminate your access to Miles if we reasonably determine that:
- You violated these Terms
- Your activity creates a security or legal risk
- Your account is being used fraudulently
- You attempted to bypass payment or subscription controls
- Suspension is required by law or a service provider
- Continuing to provide access would harm Miles, another user, or a third party
Where reasonable, we may provide notice or an opportunity to correct the violation.
You may stop using Miles at any time. You may also delete your account as described above.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect, including sections concerning intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, disputes, and governing law.
26. Disclaimer of Warranties#
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Miles is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
We disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of:

Some jurisdictions do not permit certain liability limitations. In those jurisdictions, our liability will be limited to the greatest extent allowed by law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
28. Indemnification#
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Miles, its owners, employees, contractors, licensors, and service providers from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and reasonable expenses arising from:
- Your misuse of Miles
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of applicable law
- Information you submit through the Service
- Your infringement of another person’s rights
- Fraudulent or unauthorized activity conducted through your account
This section does not require you to indemnify us for conduct for which indemnification is prohibited by law.
